A Well-planned Japanese-themed BBQ
Yesterday we all went to Aaron's house for BBQ. This BBQ was kind of last min but I must say it was really well-planned. Everybody came with a bag in hand and all the food was prepared, marinated and DELICIOUS. Hahah! All the effort should be to Wei Hao... haha cos everyone was afraid to "offend" him, so all did our part well *grin* The BBQ theme was "Japanese"... so we had many different types of food marinated in Japanese sauce... we even had PRAWNS! Shocking cos Wei Hao doesn't eat seafood, so we were all surprised that he called Zhongyao to get prawns. We had many types of alcohol too... Choya and some other types (ehh not sure cos I am not really into them hehe!)This BBQ was to celebrate Alex's very successful proposal to Cindy. Cute Alex went all the way to Taiwan to surprise Cindy (who was on hol) and soo happy that it was a success. Anyway, it was really fun to get together... talk about the good old funny days in Hall 1.... Will be looking forward to the Christmas chalet this coming Dec.... YEH!

PSLE Marking Week
PSLE Marking Week is over. A little sad that it was over so quickly, cos it was really quite enjoyable marking the P6's compositions. Marking compo for the first time. I found that most pupils were able to complete the compo reasonably well and some of them really can write interesting and relevant compos. GREAT Job!
Managed to "hang out" with my colleagues during the breaks and i feel it is always during PSLE marking when we got to know each other better. This year, the 5 P4 teachers decided to go shopping together on the last day of marking and all of us managed to get something from AMK hub. Nice nice! :) I got a yellow top (my fav colour), Kangli bought at special designed blue top and Geraldine bought a purple one. Baoqing bought a skirt and Kangni bought 3 tops (haha... cos we all force her to buy... making her change her wardrob). Then we went to Baoqing's home to see her home, her daughter and her wedding photos. Really pretty when she took the photos and her little gal is really cute. Comically actually, with her really short fringe (as she has a thrifty mom who is not much of a talented hairdresser), so her hair turned out to be like that... hahahaa...Had a good time with these new colleagues. Hope we can get to know each other better and I think we can work together when we understand each other more.

Mid of October - Busy Busy Busy
Mid of Oct is tomorrow. The PSLE is finally over.... so all the P6 pupils were soooo relaxed and happy. Not so happy for the other levels. The kids have started their exams and the main paper will be on the week after next.... So even though next week is holiday... I think they should be at home revising (Keeping my fingers cross... i wish my "heros" will do their revision at home) Bought "The Secret" DVD from Blue Max last week and yesterday Miao and I decided to watch the show... totally appalled by the quality of the DVD.... it kept stopping and it really affected flow of the show and in the end our mood ... Think the angry Miao will find a Blue Max shop to complain and change a new one.... then we will finish up with the movie later....Miao next Tues gg to USA Dallas.... 14 hours of flying... but at least they are flying through Business class... should be quite comfortable... as the tickets cost $13,600 (WOOOAHHH!!) Miao will buy the Cybershot T20 camera for my parents... cheaper at the DSF ($466 only) compared to outside shops ($499) ... hehe just excluding the 7% tax! Just wish he have a good trip there... not everybody get to go to States for FREE!! Take lots of photos and show me yah!

Welcoming October wih Children's Day
October is here!!! 1st Oct is Children's Day and it was a school holiday yesterday! YEH!! Although I did nothing at home, rot rot and more rotting... haha.. it was great to be able to just lie around and not do anything... also dun have to suffer from MONDAY BLUES as well... GREAT!Have distributed the Children's Day gifts to my classes last Friday after celebration... Glad that the children's faces actually lit up when they saw the gifts. Maybe the gifts looked very full when it was all wrapped up. Their expressions made my day, after spending one whole day shopping at the shop at Tan Kwee Lan Street the previous Sat... transporting them home (thanks to miao and the car) and another 2 hours packing the gifts. Worth it! :)October will be over really soon... this week is PSLE week already. Wishing my 2 dearest (currently should be very very stressed) cousins - Darren and Zhen.... GOOD LUCK! With your hard work put in this whole year, just stay calm and I am sure you both will perform and do well... ALL THE BEST! Jiayou Jiayou Jiayou! WOOOOSSSSHHHH!
