Ah Ma's 76th Birthday Party

Yesterday we all went to Uncle Mia Yong's home to celebrate Ah Ma's 76th birthday... Lots of food (buffet dinner) and many many mooncakes to try. Ah Ma's birthday is on 八月十五. So just nice it's Mid-Autumn Festival. Went downstairs with the kids to play with sparklers and lanterns.... FUN! :) We had entertainment from Darren too with his piano pieces... I am surprised he is quite good at the piano... keep it up lei! haha!
Ah Ma also made a very touching speech before she cut her birthday cake. I guess she just felt really happy that all of us (her 7 children and with their partners and many many grandchildren) were all with her last night..
Just like to wish Ah Ma many many happy and healthy years ahead... she deserves to enjoy herself after all those hardships in her early part of her life... dun worry so much... all of us will be very filial to her :) U Bet! *grin*

Dinner Gathering with Sisters - 5 Sept
Since meeting my dear Cedar sisters at the National Stadium in Jul, didn't have the time to meet them to see Minyann's nice nice photos, so decided to call them up for a dinner gathering during the Sept Holidays. Minyann just back from LA and the rest of us were so busy, so I nv think that the response will be sooo good haha! All 8 of us could make it! Peixin, Jas and I were punctual, the rest were late, cos they have work commitments and other gathering. We finally settled down at Marina's Waruku. The food was great but just slow (waited for mine for abt an hour). Sijie was hungho... she told the manager off but becos of that we got ice-cream dessert on the house and even a 10% discount of the bill. At least Sijie's complaint was paid off..
Took some shots outside the restaurant to remember this gathering where all of us were present. We always forget where we meet and who came... as years pass we all have failing memories! Cheeeezz! It is always nice to meet up with these sisters. All of us busy with our lives but always feel close when we see each other after so long.... Well well... the next gathering should be Christmas already.... erm erm... where will it be?? who is organising? dun push it to me!!

Backdate to 28 Aug - Dinner with Aunt Kim and Uncle Ellil
Aunt Kim jio-ed for dinner at Clarke Quay - Riverside Indonesian Restaurant. We were so impressed by the food (and also very hungry) that we did not even wait to take a photo with the delicious food before we finished them up. So we have no pictures on that! Haha! By the time I took the camera out, we had finished the delicacies at Clarke Quay and had headed to AMK coffeeshop for some drinks. We chat and Junhui told us some very very lame Superman jokes. Hahah! Just a relaxed session with the cousins, aunt kim and uncle ellil. Totally enjoyed it!

Movie Recommendation - Ratatouille

Remy the little cook is really very very very cute! It's adventure started after it got lost from his dad and family, ended up in Paris. He ventured into the kitchen of his dead idol cook and helped the cook's son to prepare delicious soup and meal, gaining the reputation of the restaurant back. A real talented cook but because he is a rat, he faced and experienced many many problem. Full of fun and laughter, the friendship the rat built with his human friend is soooo touching. Make sure you watch it. Definitely make you laugh and cry. And you will leave the cinema having a warm feeling in your heart! :)

Teacher's Day Dinner 07 - A Day at the Imaginary Beach

This year's Teacher's Day Dinner was held in the school hall. The theme was Surfer's Paradise. Not bad a start as all the teachers had to do the limbo rock first before they enter the hall. They were all given flower garlands too when they enter. The flowers sure made the mood - Hawaiian feel :)
The food was not bad... BBQ food with prawns, stingray, satay, chicken wings.... NICE! :) We had lucky draw, games and even beach hunk and babe. This year the hunk is Fariz and the babe is Valeri. They were both so sporting and funnie!
The big prize of a 26" LCD TV winner went to Baoqing haha! She was so cute. She hopped from her table to the stage - seriously like a rabbit, cos both her arms were high in the air (like the rabbit's ears) So lucky!!
We had lots of fun between the staff welfare members. I hope to get the pictures from Rafiqah and Mrs Chow soon... So I can post them here. Anyway to all teachers in the world, HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY! You deserve to have a day set aside for you!
